Snaefellsökull

In this peninsula, which is a National Park, one can find the main Icelandic features and landforms in just a few squared kilometres: volcanos, glaciers, lava fields,  weird geological formations, picturesque villages, etc.

Arnarstapi

This small fishing village, where the ocean hits the shore strongly and winds are powerful enough as to blow you away, is nowadays a touristic spot. Wandering alongside the cliffs to the sea is an awesome experience.

Snaefellsjökull

This volcano last erupted in 250 AD. Its height is 1445 m and was depicted by Jules Verne as the gate to the centre of the Earth in his famous novel.

Kirkjufell

This "church mountain", which is 463 m high, is considered the most-photographed mountain in the country. Nearby, there is a small waterfall, a perfect place to take excellent pictures.

Coming back home, more volcanos and waterfalls.
